Fluoride Ions Effect on the Corrosion Behavior of Pure Aluminum in Deaerated 0.05 M Sulfuric Acid Solutions

نویسندگان

چکیده

The corrosion study of aluminum-based materials is the topic a great scientific attention because increasing applications in many sectors these materials. fluoride ions (F−) effect on behavior pure aluminum deaerated 0.05 M sulfuric acid (H2SO4) solutions at 25 °C was investigated. electrochemical measurements such as open circuit potential and potentiodynamic polarization were accomplished to sulfate present test solutions. optical microscopic atomic force images taken view morphologies surface roughness which coincidence with rates found from immersion specimens using weight loss method. morphology elemental compositions evaluated by scanning electron microscope energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, respectively. results showed that general formed aluminum. It also revealed amount increased presence even very small

Corrosion behavior of pure titanium and titanium alloys in fluoride-containing solutions.

The effects of fluoride concentrations and pH on the corrosion behavior of pure titanium, Ti-6Al-4V, Ti-6Al-7Nb alloys and a new Ti alloy adding palladium, which is expected to promote a repassivation of Ti were examined by anodic polarization and corrosion potential measurements. The amount of dissolved Ti was analyzed by inductively coupled plasma mass spectroscopy. The surface of the specime...

the effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

the effect of e-64 on the developmental competence of sheep cocs during in vitro maturation

in the present study, the effect of e-64 at different concentrations (0.5, 1, 5 and 10 µm) added to (1) the ivm medium on oocyte nuclear maturation and developmental competence of ovine oocytes, and (2) to the ivc medium on embryonic development of ovine embryos were investigated.

Corrosion inhibition of Aluminum in 1 M phosphoric acid solutions using some Chalcones derivatives and synergistic action with halide ions

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the inhibition effect of some Chalcone derivatives on the corrosion behavior of aluminum in 1 M phosphoric acid solutions with and without Chalcone derivatives and to investigate the influence of halide additives namely: KCl, KBr and KI on the inhibition efficiency of aluminum. For this purpose, polarization (DC) and weight loss measurements were used...
